Instructions for users who need to complete application assessments

2 min read

This information is for assessment managers or other users who own an application.

When you are notified that an application assessment is ready to be completed, log onto Isora GRC and go to the Assessment page.

Instructions Using the Old UI

  1. Locate the app assessment and click the arrow to expand it. Start by choosing a classification from the drop-down list, then click the Lock button.

  1. To access the survey questions about the app, click the In Progress link.

  1. Fill in the survey questions, including explanations as needed. You can lock each individual answer, or use the Lock All button at the top when you’ve finished. If you need to return, you can use the Save All button to save your answers without locking the survey.

  1. Once all answers have been locked, the survey is ready to be acknowledged by a person with assessment manager authority for the OU. Until that happens, you could use the Unlock button to unlock and change individual answers.

Instructions Using the New UI

  1. On the Applications view of the Assessments page, navigate to the active assessment you want to complete by expanding the series name and application name. Then click the assessment name.
  1. Read over the Instructions at the top to make sure you understand how to do the assessment. Then, choose a data classification and data categories if necessary, in the Application Enrichment section. When you mouse over the right-hand side of the area, a checkmark will pop up that you can click to indicate the question has been answered. You may need to make your browser window wider, or use the scrollbar, in order to see the checkmark area.
  1. In the Questionnaire section, expand each category of questions and answer each question. You can click on the blue checkmark as you do each one to mark the question as done, or use the checkmarks at the top to mark whole categories or even the entire questionnaire after answering all questions.
  1. If you need to change a question that you already completed, when you mouse over the right-hand side, an X pops up which you can click to reopen the question.
  1. Once all questions are marked as done, a message will pop up at the bottom to let you know that the questionnaire is ready to be acknowledged. If you are the assessment manager, you can do this yourself. If you’re the application owner but not the assessment manager, then your part is finished.
  1. After the entire survey is completed and both enrichment and questionnaire have been acknowledged, the survey is ready for final acknowledgment by an assessment manager.
