Case 1: Logging in Using SSO
If you’re using SSO (Single Sign-On), you should change your password through the SSO provider. If you set your password in Isora GRC, you won’t be able to log in to the GUI using the new password you just et.
Case 2: Logging in Using LDAP, but not SSO
If you’re using LDAP to manage authentication, but not SSO, you should change your LDAP password. If you attempt to change your password in Isora GRC, you will create a local password which will then override LDAP when you try to log in. The purpose of using LDAP is to not have to remember a separate password for Isora GRC.
Case 3: Logging in Using Local Authentication
If you are using local authentication to log into Isora GRC, then you can change your password on your user profile page.
- To access your profile page, click your name in the upper right-hand corner and choose Profile on the drop-down menu.
- In the Password field, type in a new password and click Save. You will not be prompted to enter the password a second time.
- Next time you log in, you should use the new password.
Using local authentication is not ideal. Once your Isora GRC instance has been customized and fully configured, your system should be integrated with an SSO and/or LDAP authentication solution. For help with this, please contact support@saltycloud.com .
